Simkl fixed support for MSN accounts in Pidgin – new proxy server settings

We inform you that Simkl can now successfully save chat history from the new Pidgin. Our team had developed a new solution, which differs slightly from the previous ones to work with the new Pidgin MSN settings.

Now, if you want to save history from MSN on Pidgin, you simply need to specify SOCKS5 proxy.

One of Simkl’s data center is under heavy DDOS attack

The data center where Simkl.com is located is currently under heavy DDOS attack. Networking department is working on the issue and should have it resolved shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We inform you that Simkl now successfully can save chat history from the new ICQ 7. Our team had developed a new solution, which differs slightly from the previous ones to work with the new ICQ.

Now, if you want to save history from ICQ 7, you need to specify SOCKS5 proxy server + username and password for the proxy.You can find your proxy username and password after authorization from the instructions page for ICQ 7 http://im.simkl.com/ICQ7/, or by clicking on “read instructions for IM client” on the page http://history.im

Scheduled Network Maintenance – Saturday, February 13

Please note that Simkl will be performing scheduled network maintenance this Friday night to replace the core2 router. Although the time frame for the maintenance is 2AM-8AM (Saturday, February 13) (GMT-5, Eastern Standard Time (EST)), we do not anticipate any lengthy downtime as a result. We expect the transition to go smoothly, however, should complications arise during the switch to the new router, some customers might experience downtime towards the start and end of the maintenance window. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we make our network improvements.

New: Simkl now supports online web ICQ messenger

Now Simkl is able to keep the chat history from Web ICQ [V] ICQ – ICQ client for VKontakte. This is one of the first Web Instant Messengers, which was connected to the new Simkl API, that allows you to save messages to Simkl from any program and web service.

Now it makes no difference what client you use, whether desktop version, ICQ VKontakte or ICQ for mobile phone.

Update: Simkl Tray bug fixes and new WAP\PDA features

A couple of small bugs in Simkl Tray have been fixed for Windows multi user admin privileges. All fixes are now available in a new Simkl Tray v 1.6 Release which can be downloaded from http://tray.simkl.com/.

Wap\PDA interface http://wap.history.im was updated and now you are able to add new accounts using your phone.
