hey i can’t find the link, where am i supposed to post feedback? very first thing - if i pick my timezone once, why does it ask me again once i add another account? you should be able to set timezone for the whole website.

Why is it asking me for an ICQ number when I am trying to add a Yahoo account????

  3. Andrew Masyk Says:

It’s a bug, sorry. We’ll fix that. Thank you for telling. It has to change to Yahoo account.

  4. Gaurav Shukla Says:

I thought so .. you are welcome …

  5. Andrew Masyk Says:

    to Gaurav Shukla: bug fixed

  6. Gaurav Shukla Says:

One more small issue please… Its very difficult to navigate through the website. Kindly pay some attention to this. For example, I am now at the blog site, and I want to go to setup my configuration, as you said that the bug is fixed, but i don’t find a link to do that. It maybe there on this site only, but is not clearly visible and marked. Kindly look into the matter. Thank you.

Hi. I wanted to register at forum but I couldn’t understand captcha. It’s really annoying, but I try, try, try… it says that I’ve done all limits now.

Could you please make one DB for users of simkl and it’s forum or make normal captcha?

  8. Gaurav Shukla Says:

Thank you for your prompt action on fixing the bug.

    Regards

  9. Gaurav Shukla Says:

It seems my agony is not over yet … I am not able to setup a proxy on my yahoo messenger…. It simply does not sign in after I setup the proxy… Please look into the matter, Andrew…

    Regards

  10. Andrew Masyk Says:

Gaurav Shukla, what software are you using and what version?

  11. Randy Aldrich Says:

First off I love the idea of history.im and I think you really have something.

Second thing, i have a small complaint. I love that you’re using existing applications instead of rebuilding the wheel (ie: your forum software, wordpress etc) but You need to integrate the user accounts. I want to sign into the forum and post suggestions/feedback but I’m unwilling to have more than one account for simkl/history.fm. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Now on to my suggestions thus far:
    - On Focus of ‘Enter your X Account here’ it should clear.
    - Account nickname shouldn’t be required or filled in with your ’simkl’ nickname. (example: use regular account name)
    - once you select time zone for one account, it should be ‘remembered’ for others and prepopulated.

It sounds like (for at least one of these) i’m not the only one that feels these are problems that should be addressed.

  12. Randy Aldrich Says:

and now I realize you are using gravatar and I’m even more of a fan…

  13. Gaurav Shukla Says:

I am using Yahoo Messenger 9.0.0.907 (Beta)from Yahoo Inc. on Windows XP.

  14. Andrew Masyk Says:

I’ve tried that one, it worked. Are you inputting the right proxy login and password? Have you tried port 3128 or 443? Except i’ve used Vista, but I don’t think there has to be any difference. Do you use another proxy to get into Internet?

  15. Gaurav Shukla Says:

Let me try once more right now… However, I have tried with those ports as well…

  16. Gaurav Shukla Says:

Many apologies, it was my mistake only. I typed in the server name as “smkl” instead of “simkl”. Its done now, and must be functioning!!!!

Thank you for the prompt response… :)

  17. Gaurav Shukla Says:

    1. There is a spelling mistake “chane”, which should be “change” on the history.im/settings page. Although not a problem, it adds to the face of the site.

    2. How do I change the password of my history account?

  18. Andrew Masyk Says:

    1. fixed

    2. You can change it here when you are logged in http://passport.simkl.com/

  19. Gaurav Shukla Says:

The history is working fine now… Its great !!! Thank you so much :)

  20. Gaurav Shukla Says:

This is my simkl account password. What about the password of the proxy server that was assigned to me for my Yahoo History saver.

  21. Andrew Masyk Says:

You cannot change it. It has to be different from your simkl password because we show it on the page where someone might look into monitor and see it. It’s prefered not to input any variations of the user password for security reasons.

  22. Gaurav Shukla Says:

Okay, and now that I think, there is no need of it to be changed. It is visible on the screen!!!

  23. Gaurav Shukla Says:

I guess this does not work with gtalk yet…

  24. Gaurav Shukla Says:

    One small issue:

The Example below the field where you have to input the yahoo/msn/icq etc. id does not change with the options. It always shows the ICQ example.

  25. Epikuron Says:

  26. Fastguy Says:

    Hi,

At work, there’s a proxy server already setup in my IM client. There’s no other way to go out to the net without passing over this proxy). Thus, when I change the proxy server to simkl, I can’t login. So how would I be able to use Simkl?

    Fast

  27. Andrew Masyk Says:

What IM are you using? if ICQ or AIM, you can change the server login.icq.com or kdc.uas.aol.com to our server, im10.simkl.com, port 5190
