You can now use Simkl as an interface to your MAL, enjoy all the powerful stats and list filtering options that Simkl has or use any MAL app as an interface to your Simkl anime lists, thanks to a new 2-way SIMKL <> MAL sync https://simkl.com/apps/import/mal/ that uses a new freshly released MAL API.

So now, when you update your MAL list, Simkl can be updated automatically and vice versa.

As this uses server resources for each sync, we’ve made this feature available to VIP users to help support the costs.

For all free and PRO users, we have also updated a simple import to Simkl from MAL and added four different ways and rules on how to import your MAL lists manually multiple times.

As MAL API is still very basic, there are some quirks that we needed to take into account. If you find any syncing issues, please report on our Discord server or at support.simkl.com so we can make it better.
